Golden Grove Estate Joven Tempranillo 2019

Tempranillo is a variety that has found a happy home on the Granite Belt with numerous producers dishing up great examples. Golden Grove Estate sits comfortably on the podium as one of the most consistent producers.

This 2019 release is an engaging wine that opens with sour cherries, earthiness, charcuterie and pan juices. Soft and supple as ever, the red fruit doesn't have the depth I've seen with previous vintages. That's being uber critical, yet still, this is a quality drink. Fine spices and cola chime in on a moreish finish with bright acidity. It is a wine that is again very approachable and can often be seen on-premise given its food friendly vibe. That in itself is a nod to its quality and consistency.

Drink to three years.
