Henschke Johann's Garden 2019

Furrowed brow, game face on. This is a pleaser that wants to impress.  A blend of Grenache, Mataro and a dollop of Shiraz for good measure.

It gets in deep with spicy oak and hangs on with both claws. On the fuller side of medium-bodied, there's a density and weight here with the oak showing its hand. It's that barrier blanket to calm and empathise in its traditional approach. Dusty yet firm, this reaches long. A dry red drinker's wine. A tomahawk on the barbecue and a few glasses will please your guests.
