Wow! This Cabernet Sauvignon from the Barossa's Paulmara Estate is one out of the box. It's a fabulous wine from a difficult vintage.
I found a couple of the Paulmara Estate wines to be bulky, overripe and heavy on the oak but the balance and presentation of this Cabernet hits the sweet spot deluxe.
Dense, silky dark fruits and berries muse with a touch of cedar and dried herbs. Fine spices are etched into its frame with a dark chocolate caress. A wine that coats the mouth with ease, its drive and seemingly forever length captivate along with the polished edges. Sip by the fire pit, embrace a Sunday roast and anything in between. It's a wonderful drink that will age nicely and it's excellent buying for the asking price.
