Tense, this Cabernet from Stella Bella wants to let you in, but it's still a little hesitant. A long decant is the answer and a beautiful butterfly emerges from its chrysalis. Yes!
Tasted over three days, longevity is certainly in its veins. The acid and tannin structure are neatly poised for a wine that will live long. For those who love stashing, a victory awaits.
Let it breathe to reveal scents of purple flowers and blueberry paste. Quite a savoury wine, blackcurrants and blackberries are the usual suspects that dial in but it's the roasted peppers, tomato paste, dried thyme and sage that do most of the talking. The oak is well integrated with dark chocolate coming in late before a most respectable length offers plenty to consider. Give it that time and you have a great drink to enjoy.
