My first review for 2024 so it makes sense to kick off with a Grenache!
From centenarian vines (100 years+), this is a dense and rich wine with a little heft.
It opens with scents of purple flowers and squishy blueberries before dark berries flood the mouth. Waves of baking spices keep a consistent tempo. Long and wonderfully persistent, there is a flash of warmth. A Grenache that is a good medium-term aging prospect, I suspect a little more time will be its friend to soften the edges. Still, pour me a glass and I'm not complaining.
