Sourced from a single vineyard on the valley floor, 60% whole bunches go through wild yeast fermentation before seeing seasoned French oak. The final wine is unfined and unfiltered at bottling.
Take a whiff and it is clear that the whole bunches drive the savoury profile. Char and pan juice aromas muse with soft florals. Like all of Connelly's wines, there is detail and interest. Here we see pizza sauce, oregano and a charcuterie board meatiness. Time in the glass energises dark berries, black pepper, a little paprika and Moroccan spices. The mouthfeel is seductive as soft tannins build momentum and gradually dry out leaving a dusty finish. Great stuff.
