I haven't seen this wine for a while, and even though the blend changes from time to time, the quality at the price point cannot be understated.
Alluring scents of berry pie and purple flowers get you in the mood. There is no doubt some rustic appeal is evident from the ribbons of baking spices, earthiness and firmish edges. Plums and dark berry fruits rule with an even flow plus flashes of char and meatiness add interest factor. The long finish adds moreish appeal. Nicely done.
