It sees 50% new French oak but the Mataro DNA shines through. Meaty, char and dark fruits, there is a little dark chocolate dusted throughout too. A savoury drive is highlighted by undergrowth, bark, twiggy things and a fabulous charcuterie board thing going on. A sheet of fine spices is draped across the top. But that length! It's Pat Cummins like and doesn't budge as it entices with every sip. Feed it meat - barbecue, low and slow or roasts. You win.
