Ripe and sweet, this is a juicy but confected Merlot from Curtis Family Vineyards.
The sweetness was hard to shake and took the gloss off everything else that followed. It opens with sweet blackberries, blackberry pastilles, sweet dark plums before moving to cedar, tilled earth, black tea with woodsy spices. Little changed over two days of tasting. I'd prefer others.
