A smokey and meaty Shiraz from Jericho Wines, casual weekend barbecues are GO!
Wonderfully complex and dense, the fruit is grown on compacted soils ensuring that the vines struggle. As a result, the dense concentration of flavour is evident.
Seeing seasoned oak for twelve months, all I want is something cooked over the coals to accompany this.
Blackberries, dense plums, char and pan juices, ripples of fine spices keep a fabulous tempo. Highlighted by a terrific width and flow, cinnamon, cloves and baking spices add a fabulous moreishness leading to a long and considered finish. A wine I'd happily recommend, the RRP of $27 seems too cheap. Well played.
Drink to eight years.
