Ridgemill Estate Cabernet Merlot 2012
Slow cooked meats and a glass or two of this will warm the soul on a chilly night.
With five years already under its belt, the satisfaction dial is cranked high here.
There's plenty happening - blackcurrant, cassis, and cigar box all combining well. A sprinkling of dried herbs and a wash of chocolate mint late. More time in the glass and some black tea characters poke their head through. Long and smooth, not only good drinking but good value.
Drink now or for the next eight years.
