One of two new wines released by Huntington Estate. Winemaker Tim Stevens says, "The new Bin range consists of small parcels which offer an interesting difference to the core range."
A swirl of the glass sees rich and dense black earth aromas rise up. There are touches of cedar and vanilla too. More time reveals scents of raspberry and white chocolate of all things - nice.
A liberal dose of tannin meanders along leaving a silty textural feel. Spiced berry fruits warm the mouth in a pleasant and comforting manner albeit it a little tense on close. Aging is on its side - that's just the Huntington Estate way. Cool nights with a glass of this and a square of dark chocolate wedged in the side of your mouth and you win.
