Pretty aromas have me hooked from the outset. A wonderful Cabernet from Frankland River in Western Australia.
Forty percent saw new French oak with another thirty percent in first use and the remaining in second use.
I keep swirling the glass, and as air gets under its wings, dark plums and black fruits step forward. Cedar, sage and disturbed black earth ramp add interest ramping things up. Beautiful! Black fruits have a generous presence waltzing through the mouth. Delicately soft, a sudden whip of spice grabs hold and hangs long. Cocoa-like tannins close things out - another glass beckons. Gorgeous.
