The Terracotta wines get their name from where the fruit is grown - on red clay and basalt soils. This release was matured in bottle for four years prior to release.
Still a baby. Lots of life and freshness here despite being four years young.
Scents of cheesecake biscuit base, lemon zest and lemon juice. It's on the cusp of moving to the aged phase with more of those honey characters ready to unravel. The mouth is coated nicely with light toasty characters, good citrus drive and the acid is clearly starting to mellow although still a little tightish.
Drink now but aged Semillon fans will rest comfortably knowing this will live well beyond a decade.
