Parker Coonawarra Estate Shiraz 2014

Parker produce some solid wines at this price point. I particularly fancy their Coonawarra Series Chardonnay too. This Coonawarrra Series is often on the wine list at numerous pubs across the country and is a great go-to with your meal.

Coonawarra dirt shows here with a slight minty and red earth whiff. Char and cinnamon stick aromas kick in too. A smidge of raspberry with dark fruits are prominent although the mid palate thins out a little too quickly. Five spice warmth buzzes on the tongue with a lemony acid twang. It'll get even better in coming years if you can hold off though wines at this price point are bought and consumed almost immediately.

Drink now to eight years.
