The Old Faithful Top of the Hill Shiraz 2012

Here's a big boy from 40 year old vines.

Concentrated black and plum fruit. Dark chocolate, some clove, olives, pan juices and African spices which linger long join the action too. The longer I leave the glass the more personality it shows - smokey meat raises its hand as does some cedar. Nice.

Big pours and small sips are the required procedure for the win.

Its old school feels will appeal to those who like to sink their teeth into a good glass of red.

Drink now to six years.
