The Old Faithful Northern Exposure Grenache 2013

A Grenache hard to say no to coming from 80+ year old vines.

It's ripe and delicious. Fruit sweetness and sweet spices combine well here complementing the raspberry, freeze dried strawberry and dark cherry fruit. Forty months in oak has tamed the beast.

Off sandy soils, the profile is certainly different in the mouth compared to the Grenache wines tasted recently from the Barossa Valley. The longer this sat in the glass the better it got - the soil it came from was more prominent early before relaxing its grasp. If that's too much to think about, you'll be back before long - absolute moreishness from that long and silky finish screams for another sip.

Run to this.

Drink now to ten years.
