Tyrrell's Hunter Valley Chardonnay 2016

This is the second release of this wine, the said 'baby brother' to the famed Vat 47.

A great intro to Hunter Valley Chardonnay here let alone the lofty heights Tyrrell's reach with their Vat 47. Well priced too.

Vanilla, cashews and restrained peach and stone fruit. A creaminess ticks away without wrestling away the interest from the fruit. There's depth too without being overly complex. Cleansing lemony acidity to finish. Approachable and nicely balanced, there's lots of pleasure in this medium bodied charmer.

Drink now to five years.
