d'Arenberg do blends well. This is a combo of Cabernet, Petit Verdot and Merlot.
Cigar box, dark plums, some dark chocolate, blackcurrant, and a drop of menthol. Add to that clove, black earth and black olive. The more I swirl a pizza sauce type of aromas unfurls.
There's plenty of give here, those savoury characters the hero. The mouth is filled generously though it's medium bodied. Chalky, dry, and sapping to finish. Lot's to think about. Lots to like.
