De Bortoli Down the Lane Shiraz Tempranillo 2015

De  Bortoli pulling on their hipster suit - and I like it. A modern label with easy drinking wine on the inside. The label for this Spanish inspired wine is a tribute to the colourful laneways of Spain.

Nothing overly complex here - it's quite chilled out just like the label. An easy drinking wine with good fruit and nothing over complicated. Handy value for the asking price, I suspect you'll be able to find this a bit cheaper in retail land.

Think red fruits, charred meat and black pepper spice. Some sweetness lingers although the fruit is a little dilute. A warm rush courtesy of the spice rolls in late and clings on for a long finish.

Made for food, this suits the purpose well.

Drink now to three years.
