Every time the Yelland & Papps releases arrive from Mr Postman I'm like a kid in a candy store. I find the winemaking easy to gravitate to. Here we go again.
This just feels good. Sensual. Gracefully smooth. The eleventh release of this wine.
As always, the personality dial is cranked high. Five spice, oyster sauce, caramel, milk chocolate and roasted meats join the dark plum and berry fruit. Whole bunchy feels - but there's not one whole bunch used. Destemmed whole berries and the single vineyard traits have deceived me. I can't fault the long savoury drive. Super soft delivery, delicate exotic spices sit behind the fruit. Moreish. Yes!
