Rymill Coonawarra The Yearling Cabernet Sauvignon 2015

Good value Cabernet here for around 15 bucks.

Gobfuls of ratatouille - tomato leaves and red capsicum prominent.

A juicy, drink now style. Blackcurrant, cassis and some berry basket fruit sits at the core though the mid palate goes MIA. That drive isn't there as hoped. A slow cooked meat dish will perhaps forgive all that.

Of the two Yearling releases I did prefer the Shiraz but there's still good drinking here. Oh to be fussy.

Drink now to five years.
