A Shiraz with plenty of ageing potential, it opened up wonderfully over a few days of tasting.
An array of dark fruit and berries is headlined by blackberries, plums and dark cherry fruit, which is parcelled up by char and barbecued meats. A granite minerally thread is pinned to the core - a feature of these Geographe wines. Still showing some tension, the tannins are tight, tense and focused. Let it breathe and it reveals itself gradually, keeping its secrets close. A wine that will reward further bottle age, this gets a big thumbs up.
