I don't see all that much Chenin Blanc. I'd be curious to discover how many vineyards have it in the southern and eastern parts of Australia, although I'm aware there are plenty in Western Australia. This Schwarz Wine Co release hails from the Barossa.
This is a good drink. White fleshed stonefruit, brown nashie pears and golden apple move about with ease. Crunchy green apple cuts in with a faint lick of honey. White pepper and cinnamon spices frame the close along with a bright and tangy citrusy acidity. It's a wine that is well-balanced, cleansing, and perfect for casual weekend spring lunches.
