Bird on a Wire Chardonnay 2016

When Caroline Mooney's wines arrive at the door, I must admit I get that 'kid in a candy store' excitement. There's an absolute elegance to her wines and this Chardonnay is a testament to that. Gorgeous!

Damn, I enjoyed this! Coming off 38-year-old vines, the pristine fruit is dripping in class. Lemon juice, fine vanilla and caramel cream unfurl before lemon zest, nutmeg and cashew nuttiness add further interest. Delicate and graceful, it's hard not to love the width and persistence on offer. Big love and then some.
