Chardonnay sourced from Beechworth Wine Estates. Only two barrels made, 50% new French oak was used.
It's tight, concentrated with the oak influence is high. Yellow stonefruit, desiccated coconut, vanilla essence, barley and burnt butter. Some scents of yellow flowers come later. Those who enjoy more oak may well embrace this but the balance is just off centre for mine.
Drink now to six years.
