Alpine Valley Chardonnay in the zone. It took a little while to get moving, but once the engine was revving it was a sweet ride.
Swirl the glass to reveal creme caramel, touches of butterscotch and some yellow flower aromas. Complexity is layered through the mouth with veneers of roasted cashews, nougat with generous white nectarine fruit the centerpiece. A dribble of lemon juice on a long and moreish finish the parting gift. Top stuff.
Drink 2020 to eight years.
