Tidy Shiraz sourced from Heathcote.
Dark berry fruit is wrapped in a parcel of peppery spice, bacon hock, red earth and good oak presence. There seems to be a speed bump in the road halting some of the fluency through the mouth. The mid-palate appears separated from a horseshoe of bright acidity on the back palate. The building blocks are in the right place but just a little more flow needed. Drying, tense tannins cap off a long finish. A bit more time needed to see it at its best?
