Coonawarra Cabernet aged predominantly in American oak for 18 months. A most enjoyable wine with five years aging already done for you.
There's plenty of interest to amuse. Boot polish, leather and black olives from the get-go. Lots of savoury characters lace a neat bow around a black and dark berry fruit embrace. Char and soot-like feels push through late before drying tannins have the final say.
Drink now to eight years.
