Earthworks Cabernet Sauvignon 2022

 

Of the three Earthworks red wines, this Cabernet was my preferred. Glossy in appearance, it skips along almost baulking at getting in too deep yet it offers some interest to match its easygoing nature.

Blackberry jubes, plums and dark chocolate are the main players. Smooth in its delivery, it brings an approachability and is pitched at those who enjoy wines that aren't too serious. A whisper of fine spice rolls through on a tidy finish leaving the mouth dry with juicy tannins to ponder. Good stuff.

Drink to three years.
