A serious looking Shiraz from Sorby Adams, the big, weighty bottle and wax seal speak of the power and class it delivers.
From the Home Vineyard in the Eden Valley, the vines were planted in 1932. A rich and complex wine, it holds nothing back with its generous delivery. Blackberries and dark plums muse with dark chocolate, cedar and cloves. There is a milk chocolate like creaminess washing through with flickers of carob and licorice. Sheets of fine sweet spices, baking spices and Christmas cake spices fold into one another pushing through to a persistent and moreish length. A wine that will age gracefully, be sure to decant if enjoying this now. Top stuff.
