Pizzini and Sangiovese, what can possibly go wrong? Another ripping wine from their expansive range that is sure to impress.
Red and dark cherries, cured meats and pan juices, there is a fine veil of dried herbs and spice dusted atop. Expected earthiness and some smoked meat characters casually stroll in late with a drying finish that is perfectly pitched for the variety. If anything, there is a moreishness about its easy-going appeal that I gravitate to. It's very well done.
