A rock solid Barossa Shiraz from Turkey Flat, the Butchers Block is a reliable barbecue wine.
A generous, muscular wine with some flex, it is loaded with bucketloads of plums and dark berries. Some char and a little meatiness rise up with time in the glass and a dab of raspberry sweetness lobs up on close. Pretty scents of purple flowers do a neat job of enticing you. Drying deluxe, it draws all moisture from the mouth with big, plump tannins. It's good stuff.
Drink to five years.
