This Cabernet from Stockman's Ridge is an interesting wine. It ebbs and flows doing its best to hook you in.
The fruit comes across as quite ripe and stewed. An underlying warmth casts a veil over the blackcurrants and blackberries that attempt to wriggle forward.
Some soot with an earthiness walks with licorice and shards of dark chocolate. Firm spices skirt the frame but that warm just won't release its grip even after a couple of days tasting.
Drink to five years.
