A wine with a proven track record, but I can't see the brilliance in this Briar Ridge Dairy Hill Semillon as I have in those of years gone by.
It opens expressively with super fresh lemons and lemon grass aromas but the palate seems to be jogging and doesn't keep up the pace. It loses its life at that moment and you'd be hoping things would springboard further. Watery and lacking some detail but there is a bright acidity with some crunch which has me regaining interest. Bottle age will be its friend.
