Like its WPK Shiraz sibling, I'm finding that these Strawhouse Wines are better with some air under their wings. A very good expression of cool climate Shiraz, give this a decant and it will sing.
Black fruits reign supreme with a flicker of licorice to keep things moving along. Earthy with a dash of dried herbs playing a supporting role, a little char builds some momentum. Spiced cherries rise up throught the mid-palate. There is a great tempo to this medium-bodied, cool climate delight. An array of fine exotic spices reach long on a persistent length that teases and calls you back for more. All up, it's great drinking. Let it breathe and develop and you win.
