This is the second release of this wine from Soumah where their quest to work with Italian varieties never seems to end. Bravo! Blueberries and mulberries stain the palate with juicy plums and cherries not far from the action. It saw nine months in French oak (10% new) but you can't keep the fruit away from stealing the show. A wine with great flow and rounded edges, you could easily get very comfortable with this. With barely a whisper of spice on close, plates of plentiful food and generous pours are in order.
Drink to five years.
