The Point 65 label is named after the fact that for every 100m of elevation, the air temperature drops by 0.65. There's your science stat for the day covered, not to mention that this is a delicious drink.
Part of Tamburlaine's on premise range, this is incredibly aromatic as you expect from a Gewurz. Scents of musk sticks, rose water, fairy floss and lime zest skip from the glass. A wine with some pretty mouth perfume, the palate is consumed by spiced poached pears, tinned apple, white-fleshed stonefruit and a sprinkling of white pepper and cinnamon. It seizes up and gives some clenched fist tension that draws out some underripe apple. Steely acidity brings the mouth to water with a citrusy tang to cling to. It's a busy wine that offers intrigue and happiness in equal doses and I just want to keep sipping.
