Ridgemill Estate Pinot G 2025

Oh, I like this. A lot. Considered and damn delicious, check this Pinot G from Ridgemill Estate - it's a beauty!

Respect for the name Pinot G too. I see many examples of wines labelled Pinot Grigio that look more like a Pinot Gris and vice versa. In this case, who cares? Use the grape, make a delicious wine, job done.

Pale bronze and onion skin appearance, attractive aromas of white flowers and cut white peach bound from the glass and flow through to the flavour profile. White fleshed stonefruit, poached pears, green apple, pie apple, a dash of lemon juice, build plenty of interest with some ruby grapefruit for good measure. Big ups for the texture here too, delivering a fine tonic-like presence. Delicate cinnamon spices linger for what seems like days, such is the reach on the finish. Delightful stuff, this is an enthusiastic recommendation from me.
