The consistency of these Y Series really is something to admire. This time, it's the Riverland Chardonnay in the spotlight, and once again, you've got a solid and very respectable wine sitting in your glass.
Yellow-fleshed stonefruit, melon and baked apple drive the fruit profile. Licks of pineapple and mango make an effort to push forward. Nougat, some raw cashews and ginger spices add savoury touches that keep the joy on an even keel. A wine with a neat flow and shape, the finish tenses up. Don't baulk at the price because this overdelivers. Great stuff.
