With only 50 calories per 100mL, this Y Series Lighter Cuvée is marketed to those who are monitoring their alcohol intake, and if you are, this is a most respectable option.
Only 7% alcohol, it looks and feels like any regular sparkling. To taste, think honeyed tones, lemon juice, lemon zest and a delicate white flower mouth perfume. A Portuguese tart creaminess and a little cashew nut presence build savoury appeal, but the fundamental difference here is that it is crisper and cleaner than what you may expect due to earlier harvesting. I reckon this is the best release of this Cuvée NV I have seen thus far. Well played.
