A very tidy Chardonnay from Ox Hardy. Sourced from the Adelaide Hills, it walks with some Petit Chablis vibes.
Interestingly, it comes across polite and proper, almost as though it doesn't want to put a foot out of place. White-fleshed nectarines and lemon juice feature large. Ribbons of creaminess wrap themselves around the core with nougat but the lift and vibrancy reign supreme. Ginger and cinnamon spices add detail, but I keep reflecting on the fresh, restrained energy. A grapefruit tang offers a parting gift with green tea-like phenolics to consider. A big tick from me.
