Dark cherries and plums provide a generous fruit core, while ribbons of exotic spice ripple through the palate, adding energy and intrigue. Woodsy notes and tilled earth bring a savoury presence before char and a flicker of black pepper emerges late. Peppered steak notes rise up demanding the barbecue be lit. Fine brick dust tannins provide a delicate grip, slowly drying through the close. There's a respectable balance between fruit, earth and spice that muse harmoniously and build a neat momentum. This is a Syrah with plenty of personality. Tick!
