Easy-going and approachable, this Family Series Jack Shiraz from Ross Hill carries a medium-bodied frame that offers plenty of energy and drinkability.
Berry pie, baked blueberries and drunken cherries bring a generous fruit profile, while briar, stripped bark and black earth introduce a savoury, earthy edge. There's a lovely sense of balance between the fruit and those cooler climate characters, giving it plenty of personality without weighing it down. White pepper and peppered steak arrive on close. It delivers a sense of freshness, flavour and an even flow that Pearl Jam would be proud of. A big tick from me.
