Corryton Burge Adelaide Hills Pinot Gris 2026

Sourced from the Adelaide Hills, this Pinot Gris from Corryton Burge shows the richer form of the variety (with Pinot Grigio being picked early and presenting with crisper acidity).

Rather than chasing the crisp acidity associated with early picked Pinot Grigio, this leans into the richer, more textural side of Gris.

White flowers rise from the glass, followed by cut pear, green apple, a drop of lemon juice and freshly grated lemon zest. There's a faint minerally thread running beneath the fruit, while a fine sprinkling of cinnamon spice adds a gentle savoury lift. Softly textured and well-shaped, it carries itself with an easygoing composure. The key here is temperature. Too often wines like this are chilled into submission, suffocating the personality and muting the finer details. Back off the chill, let it warm slightly in the glass and you'll see this Pinot Gris become considerably more expressive. It's not trying to reinvent the variety - it doesn't need to. It's simply a tidy, approachable and solid drink.
