Thomas Wines The Cote Shiraz 2017

Give this a few years and it will be shining. A great addition to the Thomas Wines range.

Dried sage and aniseed aromas started talking to me upon opening. These moved aside the following day with purple flower and red berry influences stepping forward. Medium bodied, it ticks along without too much fanfare. The fruit fills the mouth but seems restrained for now. Soft spices curl around the palate before tense, chewy and drying tannins leave the mouth puckering. I'd like to see it in a few more years - the signs point to a wine which will reward aging.
