Mount Pleasant = the oldest Pinot Noir vines in Australia. Another great piece of historic trivia from Australia's oldest continuous wine producing region, the Hunter Valley. This is an excellent drink. I can't fault it. More please!
Big love and then some. Red and sour cherries skip about with that lip smacking Hunter Valley earthiness. Fine woodsy spices unfurl thoroughout. There is a little weight here, and in some respects, it has me thinking of some Central Otago examples that shoulder a little load. Oak is balanced and plays a neat supportive role. Rhubarb compote and red plums get moving with dried leaves and twigs hitching a ride. Long, medium-bodied deliciousness. Yeah, more please!
