Woodstock Muscat NV

Dangerously smooth, I received this Muscat from Woodstock as part of their celebration of International Chocolate Day. Three fortifieds and a Botrytis have been matched with Haigh's Chocolates for a very different cellar door tasting.

Matched with dark orange slice (segments of glaced oranges in dark chocolate), red and white Frontignac grapes were fermented before barrel aging.

With an average age of 15 years, it tastes of rancio, toffee, orange rind with a little nuttiness. Wonderfully sweet, concentrated sultana and Christmas cake spices drive long making this a perfect way to cap off a meal or as a cheeky night cap. A fortified that is very easy to sip away, I'll just be over here in the corner sipping away thank you very much.
