Measured power from the Mountain D. The name has me thinking of a wrestler. Bring back the likes of the Big Boss Man and Andre The Giant. Here we have a big Hunter Valley Shiraz that still shows nimble feet and smooth lines.
Note: this is not the correct bottle shot but you get the idea.
The bottle I had was rocking an incorrect label so back to the printers they go.
Black fruits, licorice, some char and savoury earth. The fruit dives deeper and deeper the longer it sits. But for all the generosity, it handles itself with a slick presence and considered finish. It slowly fills each crevice of the mouth leaving enough to ponder but not too much to weigh down the experience. Persistent and moreish, this goes well but will improve with more bottle age just to help things mesh a little more.
