A wonderfully textured white for a cool winter's afternoon. I'm keen on a creamy pasta dish after making friends with this.
Aromas of wafers, mandarin peel, peach tea, cashews and almonds muse and offer plenty of interest early. Four hours on skins and then eight months in French oak has produced a wine delicately spiced with an almond meal and bready mouthfeel. Mid-palate focused, a comforting warmth rattles home late to a long and persistent. Nicely done.
Drink now.
